Identify two ‘material’ aspects of your life that can have an impact on your spiritual wellbeing. Examples could include relationships, responsibilities or facilities. Ask yourself:

What is this ‘material’ aspect? (e.g. my marriage)

What threat does this pose to my spiritual journey? (e.g. time commitment and emotional involvement which reduces spiritual absorption)

What would happen if I removed it completely from my life? (e.g. feelings of loneliness and emotional vacuum)

How can I redirect, harness or utilise it for spiritual benefit? (e.g. do more spiritual activities together)
